“Swallows and Amazons” the musical will be appearing at the Vaudeville Theatre, London, over the Christmas period. Announced today in the Stage and the theatre press, tickets went on sale for the reprise of the Bristol Old Vic production that premièred to rave reviews last December.

Adapted by Helen Edmundson from the novel by Arthur Ransome, with songs by the Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon, the original production was directed by Tom Morris, co-director of “War Horse” and artistic director of the Bristol Old Vic.

The five-week run at the Vaudeville will be produced by the National Theatre, which will be immediately followed by a twenty-week tour, to be produced by the Children’s Touring Partnership, comprising the Chichester Festival Theatre and commercial producer Fiery Angel. Casting has yet to be announced.
