The Nancy Blackett completed the second leg of her voyage today, leaving Ramsgate early in the morning and arriving in Dover at lunchtime.

An even stiffer wind than yesterday obliged the passage to be made under diesel-power, rather than wind-power. By way of consolation though, the seas were rather more regular than yesterday’s, so the crew were able to enjoy it in relative comfort.

Due to the continuing strong winds, Nancy will stay at Dover until at least Tuesday morning, in the hope that they will abate somewhat. The next port-of-call will be Eastbourne, a further 40 miles to south-west.
