A good though very wet Fitting-Out and Social Day was held last Saturday, but unfortunately some fresh, though slight, damage was found on Nancy Blackett’s mast, after having initially been rigged and almost ready to go to sea.

Consequently, the two New Members Days that were due to be held on April 16th and 23rd have been cancelled, while we await completion of these repairs.

In the meantime Nancy Blackett remains afloat at Robertsons yard, but is unlikely to able to return to her home mooring at Woolverstone for at least a fortnight, as, once her mast has been repaired, a suitable tide to permit passage over the Deben Bar will need to be found, and crew rosters will need to be rearranged.
