“The Making of Swallows and Amazons (1974)” by Sophie Neville

The original film adaptation of Arthur Ransome’s “Swallows and Amazons” returns to the BBC next Friday 17th April.

The 1974 film will be available to watch here on iPlayer for 30 days, following a repeat broadcast on BBC2 at 3pm.

The behind-the-scenes story of the film is told in the book “The Making of Swallows and Amazons” by Sophie Neville, who starred as Titty Walker in the film.
