Members of the Nancy Blackett Trust are reminded that this year’s Annual General Meeting and Summer Social is on Sunday week, and the deadline for bookings is Monday 10th June.
As detailed in last month’s mailing, the AGM and Summer Social returns to the Solent this year with the venue being the Navigator in Lower Swanwick, opposite Swanwick Marina on the River Hamble. It’s easily reachable by road, rail, air and sea.
The AGM starts at 11am on Sunday 16th June, while the Summer Social commences at 2pm and features talks from Lucy Grodie, General Manager of the Association of Sail Training Organisations, and Clive Fisher, a Nancy Blackett skipper and a former organiser of the Discovery Sailing Project. There will also be a Ransome-related pub quiz and an exclusive first-act reading of a new play by Ivan Cutting, “Red Skies”, featuring Selina King.
Bookings close on Monday 10th June, and cost £25 per person, including both lunch and dinner.
