As Nancy Blackett reaches the end of the second week of her Dutch adventure, skipper Bryan Davies concludes:

“(Yesterday we) had another fine sail… in a freshening wind. We sailed under the Zeelandbrugge – looked a bit scary, does Nancy’s 13m air draft include the antenna? Then along and locked into the Veerse Meer, where we are moored for the night in the excellent Kortgene Marina. Instruments worked perfectly again.

“(Today) we had yet another great sail through the Veerse Meer and along to the historic and beautiful city of Veere, where we stopped for lunch and a good look round. We then motored down the canal to Middelburg where we performed an unplanned MOB rescue of the boathook.

Nancy Blackett is now tied up in the Binnenhaven just behind the lift bridge and close to the yacht club. We have had a fantastic week and hope that the new Skipper and crew are as fortunate as we have been.”
