The Arthur Ransome Jamboree at Pin MillIf you plan to come to the Jamboree please read this!

The event starts at 12 noon and the common will be closed for organisers only until then. We will be bringing equipment such as the swingboats and Vintage Cinema and moving boats so please wait until the start to arrive.

We have organised a Park and Walk from Woolverstone because there’s no additional parking at Pin Mill for Jamboree participants on the day. Please park and walk from Woolverstone Marina (Signed from the main road – IP9 1AT)

Arthur Ransome’s boats, the Nancy Blackett and Peter Duck, will be moored at Royal Harwich Yacht Club by Woolverstone Marina for visitors to see. You can then walk down the river path to arrive at Pin Mill – it is about 15 minutes or so and very beautiful.

If you live locally please walk down from the village, cycle or come by bus from Shotley or Ipswich. There’s also a geocache trail from Shotley to Pin Mill for those who would like a bit of treasure-hunting on their walk.

PLEASE do not park in Pin Mill Lane.
