After a misty start, the warm July sunshine shone down on the Nancy Blackett Trust’s 2015 AGM and Summer Social, held this year at the Shipwreck Pub and Restaurant at Shotley Marina.

Ably chaired by Chairman Roger Sturge, the AGM finished in time for a tasty buffet lunch supplied by the Shipwreck, while the Summer Social saw a fascinating talk by yachting historian Claire McComb about the building of Selina King, and some previously undiscovered photos.

As usual, Nancy Blackett was taking members and guests on short sails from the marina across to Harwich and into the Stour, accompanied by a stiff breeze and sometimes contrary currents. View our Flickr photo album here of Nancy Blackett in the marina and underway.
