MLJ_IMG_2516 Nancy in RamsgateNancy Blackett has already made it to Ramsgate! With her crew she left the Titchmarsh Marina and went out to the Medusa channel yesterday, and found that the conditions were slight with a south-westerly force 3/4, so they decided to head for Ramsgate via the outer route.

Towards the end, they spent three to four hours stemming wind and tide, only making about one-and-a-half knots, but made Ramsgate at 1:00 a.m. this morning. Today'weather was fine and bright, but cold, while Nancy Blackett was rather damp (requiring the use of oilskins. etc).

After having a well-deserved rest-day today, they may set off for Dover tomorrow, if the conditions are favourable.
