The Nancy Blackett book that started it all is Roger Wardale’s Nancy Blackett: Under Sail with Arthur Ransome, and you now the chance to buy one of two rare copies of it.
Published in 1991, it not only celebrates Mike Rines’ restoration of Nancy Blackett, but covers her history and that of every other boat Arthur Ransome owned, with many photographs.
This is the book (long since out of print) that inspired the creation of the Nancy Blackett Appeal 30 years ago, and ultimately launched the Nancy Blackett Trust.
Published as a hardback book with a dust-jacket, with 272 pages, we now have just 2 copies available for £5.00 each.
You can buy them here from our Shop, along with some last remaining copies of Vintage Classics paperbacks of selected Swallows and Amazons titles, as part of our Winter Book Event.
As always, proceeds go towards support the ongoing care of Nancy Blackett herself.
