Nancy Blackett was lifted out of the water last Wednesday (October 16th) at Harry King’s Pin Mill boatyard to begin her winter lay-up.
The previous Saturday a working party of Trust members had stripped her sails and cleared her of equipment, charts, old tins of soup, etc, in preparation.
Her winter maintenance and restoration schedule includes extensive replacement of timber on the starboard cockpit coaming and cabin side to eliminate recently-identified rot. This follows similar treatment carried out on the port side last winter.
