Nancy Blackett will be returning to the annual St Katherine Docks Classic Boat Festival in London this coming weekend – 7-8th September.

This annual event has become a favourite date in her calendar, and once again she will be open for visitors to come aboard, meet knowledgeable crew members, learn the history of Arthur Ransome’s favourite boat (and the star of his novel We Didn’t Mean to Go to Sea), and find out too how you might be able to sail this historic boat yourself!

The Classic Boat Festival takes place in the historic St Katherine Docks just below Tower Bridge, and is open from 11am on both days with free entry for visitors. More details can be found here on the Festival’s page.

Nancy Blackett is scheduled to set off from her River Orwell base on Monday 2nd September on a passage down the East Coast and up the Thames, arriving on Thursday or Friday. You can follow her progress on the Boat Tracker page.
