Nancy Blackett set out from Scarborough on Sunday afternoon and was in Wells-next-the-Sea, North Norfolk, by Monday morning.
During her stay in Scarborough she was visited by members of the Bentley family, which had owned her for over a quarter of a century until 1988. Eunice, Bill Bentley’s widow, was brought alongside in a wheelchair by daughter Sally.
“She burst into tears with emotion…. Ian (skipper) asked if she would like to come aboard if she was able and there was not going to be anything that would have stopped her, I think,” reports crewmember Carl Ranger.
Sally also passed over documents that filled in gaps in Nancy Blackett’s history. “They appreciated seeing her today in the condition she is in and were pleased that she was so well kept,” added Carl.

Nancy Blackett is expected back at her home base of Woolverstone, Suffolk, later this week.
