In her first cruise since her relaunch, Nancy Blackett is en route to next weekend’s Classic Boat Show at St Katharine Docks, London.

After some repairs to a diesel leak in new engine on Saturday afternoon and a visit from our esteemed President, Peter Willis, she left Woolverstone yesterday, on a glorious hot sunny morning, under Skipper Ian McGlynn, with Bob Hull and Paula Holt crewing.

The first day of the voyage ended at Brightlingsea (above), moored on the Heritage Quay alongside three Colchester oyster smacks, a boat on the final stages of a round the UK trip, and a couple who had planned to sail in the south-west but who decided to drag their boat from Hereford to the sunny East Coast.

Today, Monday, she plans to cross the Thames estuary for the Medway.

You can follow her progress our Boat Tracker page.
