Sophie Neville looks through this year’s Swallows and Amazons themed Christmas gifts and lists her favourites below…
Everyone uses mugs – if only to store pens and pencils. These new bone china cups depicting Ransome’s yachts Peter Duck and the Nancy Blackett are available from the Nancy Blackett Trust here.
The Trust also sells a selection of books, audio books and videos for Arthur Ransome enthusiasts with any profits going towards the upkeep of the historic vessel.
Here are some of their other useful mugs that could be bought as a pair or set of three, easily sent through the post:
For a full selection of Swallows and Amazons mugs, please see my earlier post here.
Some of my favourite things the Nancy Blackett Trust stock in their online shop are tea towels, including this one that depicts Spurrier’s map of the lake in the north.
Claudia Myatt’s design featuring three of Arthur Ransome’s yachts called, ‘I saw three ships’, is possibly more Christmassy. Mugs and tea towels make great presents for sailors.
A wide choice scarves decorated with swallows can be found on Amazon. This one is the most popular:
The Little Boathouse can make up coastal map cufflinks, personalised especially for you.
They also have a selection of nautical charms.
Jago Silver has a tent and trees necklace for sale, which struck me as being inspired by Wild Cat Island or anyone into walking and camping:
with a campfire kit…
and an expresso gift set to use once you go camping:
Jago also has ‘Never Stop Exploring’ notebooks and prints available
The film distributors StudioCanal have a range of jigsaws and other Swallows and Amazon (1974) film merchandise here including a 400 piece jigsaw of Secret Harbour:

and here – although these are not particularly Christmassy.

We have designs for cakes and party ideas with a few gifts here. And then there are books. Here is one I contributed to last year, available on Amazon:
