The original film adaptation of Arthur Ransome’s “Swallows and Amazons” has returned to BBC iPlayer.
The 1974 film is available to watch here until Saturday 22nd June.

The behind-the-scenes story of the film is told in the book “The Making of Swallows and Amazons” by Sophie Neville, who starred as Titty Walker in the film and is currently President of the Arthur Ransome Society.
