Today’s fresh update from skipper Richard Wainwright brings us nearly to the end of Nancy Blackett’s first week away from home, and all apparently had a great time. He writes:
“Nancy is now safely moored in WV De Werf harbour in Goes, just to port of the entrance looking out and in front of Wild Cat. The harbour is adjacent to the Ringbrug.
We have had a great day, staying in Kortgene marina until the rain left us at 11. We then passed through the Zandkreek lock and bridge into the East Scheldt.
There we had some marvellous sailing in force 5/6 winds up to the long bridge between Noord-Beveland and Duiveland, before returning and entering the Goes canal. We arrived at the Ringbrug for its opening at 4 pm.
All in all a great trip. Nancy Blackett is a credit to all who worked so hard to prepare her for the season.”
