Julia Jones will be signing copies of her new book "The Lion of Sole Bay" at the Woodbridge Cruising Club this Friday from 6pm. The event is being co-hosted by the Nancy Blackett Trust – and if you can't get there in person you can now buy the book from us at the special price of £5.99.

"The Lion of Sole Bay" is set around the Woodbridge area, and is the fourth in Julia's Strong Winds series of novels for children (as well as young and not-so-young adults). Julia Jones was brought up in Woodbridge and owns (as did her parents when she was a child) Arthur Ransome's boat Peter Duck – she also seems to have inherited his gift for concocting exciting sea-based adventures.

The event will also provide an opportunity to find out more about sailing Nancy Blackett and meet some of the key people in the Trust. The Nancy Blackett Summer Raffle will be drawn during the evening.
