The Westmorland Gazette reports that the filming of the anticipated new version of "Swallows and Amazons" has been delayed until next year. Starring "Downton Abbey's" Dan Stevens as James "Captain Flint" Turner, shooting was originally scheduled for this summer.

Producer Nick Barton of Harbour Pictures was quoted as stating that: "We are still working on setting the film up for next year and now hope to start in spring 2014. The delay was due to a number of factors but we still intend to go into production."
