The Nancy Blackett Trust has just received a lovely Christmas card and message to us all from Mimi Ohsawa in Japan. Mimi visited Nancy Blackett  in Woolverstone and Woodbridge at the time of the Woodbridge Festival in 2010 when she was studying at UEA, and based in Norwich. She is now a volunteer teaching youngsters back in Japan, and looks forward one day to returning to the UK and having a real sail on Nancy.

Her first visit was to the Woodbridge festival, but she needed to get back for studies, so could not sail back with us. However, we did manage to take her to the Butt and Oyster on the first evening, and then dinner in Ye Olde Bell & Steelyard with several of us at Woodbridge. We also included a night sleeping onboard Nancy Blackett too, before she had to get back to Norwich. Mimi has very fond memories of her visit and keeps in touch via Nancy’s Facebook page.
