The Nancy Blackett will star in a new BBC radio documentary to be broadcast in August, "Paddling with Peter Duck". Presented by John McCarthy, the programme will also feature some of Arthur Ransome's other former dinghies and yachts, including Coch-y-bonddhu ("Scarab"), Lottie Blossom, Mavis ("Amazon") and of course Peter Duck itself.
Last week, Peter Willis, Chairman of the Nancy Blackett Trust, recorded a segment with John McCarthy and producer Kevin Dawson on board the Nancy Blackett (see photograph below). "Paddling with Peter Duck" is scheduled to air on 4th August on BBC Radio 4, at a time to be announced.
