Nancy Blackett is getting ready today in preparation for this year's J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race. The race will be started by Dame Ellen MacArthur, patron of the Nancy Blackett Trust. Participating vessels will depart from Cowes, Isle of Wight, in eleven different groups at ten-minute intervals between 5AM and 6:40AM tomorrow morning.
Nancy Blackett's progress can be followed by opening the Race Viewer and adding the Nancy Blackett as a tracked boat.
Nancy Blackett is also taking the opportunity to use the Round the Island Race to raise funds for the Brigit Sanders Memorial Fund and the Ellen MacArthur Trust. Chairman Peter Willis has created a fundraising page with a target of raising £1,000, in association with Virgin Money Giving. All donations will be gratefully received.
