Roger Wardale’s book on Arthur Ransome’s boats, originally published in 1991 as “Nancy Blackett – Under Sail with Arthur Ransome” and indirectly responsible for inspiring the Nancy Blackett Trust, has been out of print for over a decade, with used copies advertised on the internet for more than £70. Now it has been republished, under a new title, with updates on most of the boats, plus additional historical research and photos.

As “Nancy Blackett” the book inspired Nancy Blackett Trust chairman Peter Willis to launch the Nancy Blackett Appeal in 1996, as he describes in the foreword to this new edition.

Published by Sigma Press at £9.99, it’s available on this website, at the Nancy Blackett Bookstore for only £7.49.
