Leukaemia survivor Oliver Rofix has completed his Round Britain Challenge in 215 days, having just arrived back in St Katherine Dock, London. Oliver started the final leg earlier this morning from Gravesend in perfect Autumn weather. The Nancy Blackett Trust presented a donation to Oliver back in March, the day before he embarked on his sailing [...] Nancy Blackett's 2011 season drew to a close in brilliant weather last weekend with an excellent working-party day, following a final couple of days cruising in the Stour and Orwell. Below are some pictures of Nancy berthed in the Tide Mill at Woodbridge, taken by Nicola Key. Nancy Blackett's autumn cruise has been a fairly eventful one so far. Last weekend saw a return trip to Harwich Harbour, leaving Woolverstone on Saturday morning and returning on Sunday. After Monday's gales (and the day out at Flatford Mill), Tuesday afternoon saw her motoring upriver to Ipswich before sailing under headsails to Shotley. Today [...] So just where has this sailing season gone? Nancy Blackett is now on her last adventure of the season, the nine-day autumn cruise, culminating in the end-of-season laying-up event and dinner at Woodbridge on Saturday. At the moment, Nancy is sheltering near Manningtree on the River Stour, but with it gusting up to force 8 [...] |  | ||||
