026 Nancy Blackett at Woolverstone 130706The summer sun shone warmly on the Nancy Blackett Trust’s 2013 AGM and Summer Social yesterday, as a cooling breeze allowed a few lucky groups of the Trust’s members to enjoy some memorable trips down the River Orwell onboard the Nancy Blackett.

There was an extended break in the afternoon to allow everyone to enjoy the day’s highlights: special screenings of Nancy Blackett’s recent appearances on the BBC’s Countryfile and the latest Sally Potter film “Ginger and Rosa”, followed by a special presentation by Sophie Neville of her 30th anniversary talk about the filiming of “Coot Club” and the “Big Six”.

The event was held in the Royal Harwich Yacht Club’s newly-redeveloped clubhouse, with the sailing trips operating from their nearby pontoons. See our Flickr photoset of the penultimate sailing trip.
